Yellow bud of tree peony hybrid 'Golden Sovereign' This is a Paeonia lutea
hybrid with p. suffruticosa. Foliage is more lacy than most tree peony
selections. Yellow, orange, amber, (the warm color palette) is typcial
of P. Lutea hybrids. This is an uncommon cultivar growing to perhaps 4
ft after many years. Flowers slightly fragrant, and foliage colors somewhat
in the fall, turning bronze, reds, and oranges.

Mai Kujaku
Acer japonicum 'Aconitifolium' (A. j. 'Mai Kujaku' ) One of the selections
of A. Japonicum in the Japanese maple group. This variety features deeply
cut foliage with soft feathery margins and fine autumnal tints. Purples,
reds, orange, yellows color the fall foliage on this medium growing shrub
to small tree.

Higasayama
Acer palmatum 'Higasayama' one of the fine variegated forms of Japanese maple,
this variety is distinct in the creamy margins of its green veined leaves.
Upright in grow habit, this small tree almost glows when backlit. Fall
colors of rose tint the variegated foliage. Also of note, is the spectacular
flush of growth when the plant begins growing in spring, the new leaves
almost look like exploding popcorn with the red bud scales and fresh new
leaves expanding.

Fallbrook
Philadelphus 'Fallbrook' This is a fine variety of the Mock Orange. This
shrub is of medium height to about 6-8 ft. with a fountainous arching habit.
The spring display of pure white fragrant flowers covers the bush and is
also fragrant. Occasional flowers later in summer and fall dot the bush.

Orange Dream
Acer palmatum 'Orange Dream'. This newer selection of Japanese maple is especially
stunning in the spring color of the new foliage. It is very bright pale
yellow flushed orange and remains showy for several months. A moderate
grower, this one will be very pleasing as it grows into a large shrub size.

Night Rider Camellia
Camellia 'Night Rider'. One of the rare 'black' flowered forms, this variety
is brilliantly dark and gorgeous. Even the new growth is very dark and
tinted deep maroon. The young leaves are very glossy as well. This is a
hybrid of the original black camellia 'Kuro Tsubaki' from Japan. Slow growing
and choice.

Autumn Moon
Acer shirasawanum 'Autumn Moon'. A very fine variety of the full moon maple
group, this one has bright yellow - chartreuse foliage tinged in orange
on the sunkissed leaves. Quite showy as this gives an impression of rusty
leaves. Very gorgeous and rare, a most spectacular variety.

Aureocalis
Phyllostachy vivax 'Aureocalis' . One of the running(spreading) timber bamboos,
this selection has butter yellow culms (canes) which become very tall (to
50 ft.) and also have large diameter (to 5"). Not common, this form
will be widely used in the years to come since it is most impressive in
size and also the coloration of the canes. The mainly butter yellow culms
have occasional green stripes. The plant has an elegant look to it since
the foliage appears to weep due to the arching habit of the branches. A
mature grove of this form will be truly impressive and awe inspiring.
